    On-Site Value Comunication

If you haven’t guessed by the platform this was written on I know WordPress.org. I enjoyed putting my website together, for the most part, I’ll admit it was a bit of a learning experience though, figuring out where all the settings were and what not. I have created galleries, posted multiple photos, developed my portfolio, added a subscribe button, created a contact form, among other elements. I’ve even added analytics so I can see what parts of my site get the most hits. WordPress.org is a great software and I’ve learned how to make it work well for my needs and purposes. Websites can show off so much great work…

Text Me, Message Me, If You Wanna Reach Me

What’s the sich? Yeah I know…I watched a lot of Kim Possible in the 2000s. To be honest its my text tone on my phone, when it’s not on silent. Also there’s other ways to reach me than just texts and messages. That said, I use multiple platforms for messaging, calling, and video chatting and although I have my personal favorites I understand quite a few, and see the value in them. Favorites Personal – I really love iMessage and Facetime from Apple, I can send diverse messages, and see the messages come in cleanly on all my platforms. It’s so easy! I also really like Facebook messenger. Especially since…

    A Blank Canva

I have come to love design. Since middle of college when I started finding great tools, and teaching myself, and learning what I like. Canva is one of the main tools I use for design. I love the fact that there’s templates to use, but that I can do with them whatever I want. Usually I just get inspired by the templates and then rework them to make them my own. The templates show my what elements, and styling professionals have used that looks good so I can know I’m going in a great direction. Though I also enjoy starting some from scratch. It goes back to the fact that…

    A Suite Drive

I got a gmail account fall of 2010. I never looked back. I was working in a group project and they wanted to use what was docs at the time. It was annoying to change my email, but I’m so glad I did. Since then I’ve started to use the attached calendar, and even upload videos to Google’s affiliate, YouTube. Google drive is a great tool for me to share any item I need to with anyone and have it safely accessible anywhere. I’ve used templates, I’ve uploaded images. I’ve created folders, used the account throughout college, and now for keeping track of miscellaneous items that are better stored in…

    Adobe Photo Suite 101

As I apply for jobs I’m trying to learn more skills that will be helpful. One of those included trying adobe software. So today I’m going to explain how I’ve used the photo editing apps. Lightroom It’s like the Instagram app, but with far more options. I then realized presets were an important element and found some on the internet. Although they may be important and helpful for learning they aren’t an all in one solution. Playing with the features is a key to starting out on this one, seeing what you like and how you can achieve the desired styling. Here are images I changed the lighting on. I…

Learn From People Whom You Disagree With and Those You Don’t Get Along With

You don’t have to take on their views or opinion, or their attitude, character or peresonality for that matter, but often you can even learn about yourself and your own views through others. Just don’t let them affect you for the worst. Everyone has acquaintances and perhaps friends that they disagree with. What’s interesting is the common ground you can find, especially if both parties cooperate, and try to find common ground. You see I’ve learned a lot from people I don’t agree with much on. I’ve learned even more from those I don’t get along with, I’ve learned about how I don’t want to come across and how can…

    Taste Test Proctor

Today my temp job was what I can best describe as proctoring a taste test, that is I handed out food to test participants, while keeping an eye out for anything that could’ve gone wrong. And even though I can’t give more details than that, a takeaway thought I had was how interesting product development in for any given company and what all might go into a product that appears on the shelf. We had tons of participants, and thinking about what developement has gone into the product and what may end up on the shlef was interesting to think about. You never know what a company might have in…

Where I Want to Travel Next

Within the states I would love to get to New York, Tennessee, or Hawaii next. My parents have recently traveled to 2 of the 3 of these and have ocme back with fun stories. New York just seems like an interesting place and a good place for an extrovert like myself to explore. Outside the US I would love to get to Greece, Thailand, and the Holy Land. Greece seems beautiful…from the pictures, I would love to hang out by the ocean in a different country, it looks like an interesting place. Thailand is said to be budget friendly, and again, gorgeous. The Holy Land on the other hand is…

    Wardrobe Maintainence

So last year, I went all year without buying anything for my closet, with two exceptions. I bought a Vikings jersey at the thrift store for $1.75 and I bought new sneakers in time for my LA trip for $120. Other than that I didn’t have anything new to wear unless I was given it, which was the case a number of times I’ll admit as well. What a challenge this was! But I appreciated how much I saved, and how much I experimented with what I already own. There’s also some other maintenance and organization tools that I make use of in wardrobe upkeep. I have a simple, boxy…

How to Shop Like I Do

Between my best friend and my mother teaching me how to bargain shop like a pro, and loving finding new styles I’ve tried to find ways to stretch every dollar while also getting timeless clothes. There’s some rules of thumb for my methods. Shop wherever you like, with a list, and if you like anything else, take a picture of it, and consider it for at least 24 hours, or call or text someone and ask for their opinion if you can justify it to them, you may have a winner. Clearance is your friend, but it’s not perfect, sometimes stores stock way too much of a great item, and…
