SKOL!…wait…

Today’s post is two-fold. My Mom and I found two great things to do in Green Bay Wisconsin today. We slept in an extra hour and first headed over to The Automobile Gallery. A beautiful car showroom. From antique cars to vintage trucks, and a van. Plus a DeLorean!

Now I’m not as much of a car person as you might think, especially concerning modern cars, but I love the history that comes along with old cars and thinking about the adventures their owners had with the vehicles. Maybe a family enjoyed numerous family trips in the old coupe, or maybe the collector of the DeLorean enjoyed giving rides to his friends over the years. These cars take you back in history. Plus the ones at this museum were so beautifully restored. Oftentimes you can find history in antiques where you might not expect it at first glance, but it may take a little imagination.

The car featured in the photo is called a Dordt, by the way.

Today this Minnesota Vikings fan also visited Lambeau field…home of the Green Bay Packers. Now I haven’t changed teams or anything but it was interesting to hear the history of the team, and see something unique and important to the area. The lesson I gleaned from this tour was that you can learn history even from an opposing team.

SKOL VIKES!
