    Back in junior year of high school, my family took our first week-long spring break vacation. It was a trip to Chicago and it was really fun, if not a little cold too. We drive the 7-hour car ride on each end of the week. We stayed at a hotel outside the city. We experienced everything from famous cuisine to the transit system to great museums, and even top floor views. We went shopping on the miracle mile and found various unique versions of famous places like McDonald’s.     Ometepe and My Family

    The summer after I graduated high school my family took a missions trip with others from our church to Nicaragua to help with kids after school program, among other things. This trip was a wonderful, and unique opportunity for our family. We enjoyed planning for and serving on this trip. From the beginning, this seemed like an intriguing opportunity because we would all get to try our hand at missions work together.
