I’ve Got a Question
Ask lots of questions. Why wouldn’t you? People can say no anyway, that or you’ll get an answer and learn something new. Obviously you should be tackful and considerate of your questions, but if your question falls in line with these two metrics it should be fine. I asked a lot of questions in school and growing up in general. From trying to better understand lessons, to trying to better understand the world around me. I see the value in asking questions of others not only to learn more myself but also to encourage them and myself to think more about the issue at hand.

Your Life is Different From Everyone Elses
Even if you want the same results as someone else, your path probably looks different, and may take a different amount or time, that or may not even be meant to be for you. Everyone who gets a job gets it at a different time, everyone who gets married has gotten married at a different time, everyone who is a born again Christian gets saved at a different time. This is good, sometimes it’s not fun, but its good. You’ve probably heard it before but life would be boring if everyone was the same. If you think you’re waiting longer than everyone else for things, realize that something may come…

Something Wonderful
…is coming. As I patiently keep on working on finding an apprenticeship, I feel like I just know that something wonderful is in the works. I am so happy to be thinking about what the soon to come future will bring. What will my apprenticeship actually be like, what will my new living space be like, will I miss not seeing Minnesota out the window? I have prayed over this whole situation so much. I’m excited, to God be the glory.

Talent and Opportunity
I’ve always wondered what i could be good at that I haven’t tried yet. Am I a great surfer, that hasn’t taken the time or had the chance to try? Someday we’ll see. Is the kid who lives on the beach and struggles to swim actually a terrific artist, and/or hockey player? Is the adult who has lived in the city their whole life actually a stellar equestrian? Who knows, and maybe there’s evidence against my theory, but what if. Ideally everyone would have the chance to try new things, but this just isn’t how it is. Nor am I suggesting that it should be required that everyone gets a…

Truly, Truly
These are my thoughts from the sermon I herd this morning at church. 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again[b] he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3 The 2 words back to back communicate the absolute certainty of the claim. Another spiritual truth in this passage is that we’re born again. Jesus is the giver of life. 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3 This has to do with how we are reborn out of baptism and belief. But our salvation is based on our faith alone.

Comedy Is for So Many Contexts
Blog about how everything can be comedy from politics to sports, to hobbies, and everything in between. It might seem obvious, but I think when you start to see the humor in more areas of life, you start to let your guard down for the better. Comedy is so fun, I love thinking of puns and I think this is the best example of how many contexts it can present itself in. You can make a pun anywhere, and even if people groan, its a great icebreaker. Lately the good comedians I’ve seen on YouTube and such, not only make tons of puns, they make fun of something they’ve seen…

Shout Out to Long Distance Friends
Hey friend, if we live a ways apart this one’s for you. I have friends in at least 4 different states, that’s not a brag, it’s simply an acknowledgment and a chance to say I’m thankful for each of them. It’s been fun to visit people across the country lately. It makes me truly love even the simplest of trips. I love staying with friends in their homes, and doing normal life, and fun things around their home with them, even the grocery store in some cases to enjoy food together at home. It’s fun to message long distance friends, they’re one of the notable reasons I am so thankful…

Types of (Swing) Dance
I love learning dances. Now I want to share a list of dances and some links to helpful resources so you can know what you’re getting yourself into with various kinds of dance. I’ve included the one’s on this list as their the one’s I’ve tried at one point or another. East Coast: The easy to learn dance, that is easier to add aerials to. I’ll add that this video doesn’t show the absolute basic step, it shows some fun turns and spins thought. With easy cost and Lindy hop (below) it is said that you kind of dance into the floor, in order to balance correctly and keep the…

Skyways
I just got home from a short trip to North Carolina, it was great, on the plane ride home, I sat next to someone from Texas, it was a just a connecting flight, but enough time to have a nice conversation about the places we both live, and even a little bit about church. What’s funny though, to me as a Minnesotan is that when I talk about our Twin Cities, I usually end up mentioning the skyways, and forget that not many cities actually have this feature. Maybe you don’t know what I’m talking about either, allow me to explain. I tell people from around the country that Minnesota…

The University of You
I’ve said it before that sometimes learning on YouTube is the way to go, sometimes reading is the way to go, sometimes listening to music is the way to learn, and there are numerous other ways, but I’ve noticed that although its can be awesome to learn from others we also teach ourselves, and “make our own curriculum” in some ways. I put this in quotes because it’s not at all about the university experience, its about discovering what the tools you need and learning what you need to know to succeed. I just taught myself how to draw lines in Adobe today, I didn’t watch a video, I’ve hardly…
