Fill the (Virtual) Cart
I have had an Amazon account since high school, and there are saved items from back then sitting in my account. Either I didn’t purchase the item because I forgot, or because I didn’t need it, after all, saving me money. When online there’s hardly any reason not to fill up your cart, you can track items you like, see the total while you shop, wait for price changes. This applies to other websites, and sometimes real life carts, since, at most stores, the cashier has a “put back” bin, just please don’t abuse this opportunity. See by filling up your cart you can save items and there’s no obligation…

Is any credit card debt okay?
I’ve talked about having a credit card, and how that’s helped me. I recently read a question: “How much credit card debt is too much for a young adult?” The answer? Any credit card debt that can’t be paid within the month or billing cycle) without going into debt is too much and going to do more harm in the future. Does that mean everyone will always be able to avoid it? Perhaps not, but it should never be seen as something that is a good idea, or something that is a way out or a viable option. Be careful with your money, be even more careful with money that…

Impervious and Nearly Perfect
I live in Minnesota. A wet, snowy, windy, dry, sunny, cloudy place, sometimes all in the same day. It’s hard to buy and put together a good wardrobe for this weather, sometimes it’s even hard to find the right products, but In the last two years I have found some stellar options. Here’s my list for my best water proof gear (with one water resistent option as well. Vessi Footwear Trainers (worn in photo) : Honestly these are amazing, and worth the price in my opinion, they are the most expensive shoes I own, but I’m okay with that. They really are waterproof, for starters. I’ve even stuck my foot…

Pop Up Shop
I’ve visited stores like these before. These are usually stores that are hosting a temporary location, where they’ll move in with their top product lines, and then leave in about a month. In other cases, its an “experience” and the pop-up space is about design and fun elements to explore with friends and photography. This month was different though. Through my contract work agency, I got the chance to be part of setting up a pop-up clothing store from New York. It was interesting to see it come together in a local photography studio, and then take down the operation afterward. Building a business from the ground up and then…

The Economic Choice
Liking the cheaper version of something is hardly wrong, this can relate to food, beverage or software, or other products in general, even education. I like getting a good deal, on anything from food to furniture. I don’t need the best of everything or the “highest quality” choice for everything. It’s not wrong to like those things, but there are some things that I genuinely like the cheaper version of more, at least for now. There are many cases of getting what you pay for in terms of quality, so don’t avoid higher prices in all cases. That and be careful of going too cheap. Don’t feel bad that you…

Investing in Generosity
Investing, and donating is hard; especially for kids, they often can’t see where the money is going or fully understand how it helps others. Sometimes it’s hard for people of all ages though, in most cases we’ve worked hard for our money and if we worry about not having much leftover at the end of the day it can be hard to give some away. That said, there are two ways to see money: as things, and as an expression of your values. This is a challenge for someone of any age. Money is a tool, a very important one, but only a tool. Using money to invest in yourself…

There’s No One Element to Getting a Job
Take it from a gal who has edited her resume, website, and made projects for numerous job applications. It starts with a resume. That’s not where it ends but it starts here so you have one list that, if nothing else, you can focus on. Having a resume allows you to track your progress, visually and see every element on one page. This week I helped my sister improve her resume from what I’ve learned she may be an education major, but many of the same elements applied and I guided here Next is your website. Even if it’s a free one, have one to send people to put all…

Not Every Highlight
Not every life moment is on social media, whether it’s good or bad some of it doesn’t get on the internet, and that’s very much okay. I’ve hung out with friends and then realized it didn’t go on social media. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it, it means that sometimes you forget to pull your phone out for a picture for a status update. People often talk about how people skip the bad moments on social media, while this is true on Instagram more – on platforms like Facebook, people share some of the hard moments too, and people certainly don’t give all the highlights, and sometimes the “highlights”…

The Glader Family Motorcyclists
This post starts with me giving a quick lesson on the pronunciation of my last name. It’s Glader. As in Glad-er. As in I’m Glader than you. Or I’m happier than you. Now that that is clear, I’ll move on. I grew up Baptist (and I still am) and homeschooled (when I was little). We are Midwesterners, living in the suburbs. Not exactly the poster family for motorcycling but here we are. One of my grandpas have ridden, my Dad and mom do, my Dad’s brother and my aunt, my great aunt and uncle too, even some of my cousins now, as well as family friends ride. I don’t say…

Battle of the Burrito (Bowls)
I’ve loved Chipotle since sometime in high school, in college, I was introduced to Qdoba, and about 2 weeks ago my sister and I went to Panchero’s for the first time, here’s my analysis. Chipotle, a crowd favorite, with tons of locations, and a menu you probably know by heart. I love how cheap it is, especially since I take their food to go so often. Qdoba the place to go for free extras and a great, distinct flavor. They have nicer restaurant’s than Chipotle. Panchero’s has an interesting niche. They stir the ingredients together before they hand you a finished product, plus they do have fresh tortillas but I…
