Not Every Highlight

Not every life moment is on social media, whether it’s good or bad some of it doesn’t get on the internet, and that’s very much okay. I’ve hung out with friends and then realized it didn’t go on social media. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it, it means that sometimes you forget to pull your phone out for a picture for a status update.

People often talk about how people skip the bad moments on social media, while this is true on Instagram more – on platforms like Facebook, people share some of the hard moments too, and people certainly don’t give all the highlights, and sometimes the “highlights” are just a story in all reality.

So don’t feel pressured to post about every moment, though try and get photos with friends, especially casual and fun ones, sometimes just for your computer or a frame on your desk at home, or for you to look at 20 years down the road.
