Designing Daily Series
During the month of October, in addition to my other projects, I created a design each day and published it on my blog. Here’s the full collection of images. Their sourcing links and explanations can be found on my blog page at katherineglader.com/blog.
I enjoyed this challenge it forced me to think about how design can be used by a diverse set of businesses, for their benefit – not just mine. I also enjoyed learning a lot about a number of Praxis Business Partners. I ended up going on their websites, their social media, watching their videos, and googling a few.
I believe this challenge better prepared me for the marketing world, from relating to other designers and marketers, to learning about start up businesses in general.

"Elevate"
Branding sample project for JPL
While looking through the list of business partners Praxis worked with I came across JPL Creative. It stood out as a creative agency that services multiple businesses in marketing among the other businesses that may have had their own in-house teams. JPL has done some amazing work for some amazing and diverse clients. I believe between my interest in marketing philosophy/psychology, and my experience in designing/working with desigers, and copywriting practice/writing, I could bring a lot to the JPL team. It would be really cool to design some marketing elements for this brand. The first design, “Elevate” I made to be a mailed letter so that it lands in a business owner’s hands and challenges them to think about how their brand can improve, and how JPL could help. The second design, “Branding.” Is meant to be a banner ad, and to make a business think about how they’re coming across to a consumer.(Note: The logo used in the photos is not mine and was found on JPL’s website at https://www.jplcreative.com/)
