Avail Academy

I worked a contract role at a small private Christian K-12 school for six months almost right out of college. It was a really interesting experience, especially as I’m not a teacher, and I never thought I’d work at a school. I’m very thankful overall that I had the chance to be in this role for a time.

I worked as the special projects coordinator, my role was to assist the president in whatever she needed help with, as well as the rest of the office, at three locations.

From planning events to assisting in meetings, to digitizing some of the school’s data, to making over 200 fundraising phone calls. I did my best at whatever task came to me and left the role with great experiences, and more knowledge of how workplaces function and how I can contribute to their success.

I helped the school get better organized, and reach out to the school’s entire community through calls, poster, and emails.

As part of event planning I was tasked with making posters to advertise to those at the school.
