Designing Daily Series – Day 8 – TemperPack

TemperPack has developed amazing packing technology. Now businesses can ship cold items and have them arrive to customers still frozen. I noticed they have a couple of videos on YouTube, but not many – and that they didn’t have any specially designed thumbnails from what I could tell. So I put one together for what I think would be a helpful video, it’s intriguing, mentions their name, and high lights the uniqueness of their brand’s concept. Note: The logo in the image is not mine and was taken from the TemperPack website at temperpack.com

Designing Daily Series – Day 7 – SchoolAdmin

Today’s design features a brand that stood out to me because of a job I had been at before Praxis. I worked at a small private K-12 for six months and the system they had did its job but could’ve been better in almost every way. That’s where a program like SchoolAdmin would come in. I love how almost everything can be added to the program and how the website mentioned it makes everything, including data easier to read. I figured it made more sense and would be a good challenge to create a letter style advertisement that could be mailed to schools since it’s not something they’re likely to…

Designing Daily Series – Day 5 – Toast

Toast is a restaurant management software and hardware company in the simplest terms. But it truly offers so much more than that to any type or size of the restaurant, from point-of-sale kiosks to kitchen tracking software. This business knows it’s way around a restaurant, so the owner’s, chefs, and staff at a restaurant can get back to what they do best, delivering great food and service.  I created a design for Toast to use an ad on any social media site to get business owners thinking about implementing toast. It shows the product in action, provides an idea of what Toast does, and the goal of Toast in a business.  Note:…

Designing Daily Series – Day 4 – ADS Security

Today’s design is a Facebook ad for ADS Security. I noticed that they have an engaging, and helpful website but that some of the information doesn’t quite carry over to Facebook, or it’s not as clear. Their best recent graphic is for current customers as well. The design showcases what sets their brand apart and would work great for a paid ad campaign through Facebook. I also made the alternate version of the logo as featured in the ad I made.

Designing Daily Series – Day 3 – Lever Gear

For today’s design, I looked at Lever Gear and put together this infographic. I based it on their brand design as seen on their website and their selling points based on data presented. I think this would be great to share on their Pinterest board or in emails to potential customers or even business partners.  Note: I do not own the logo pictured. It is from their website: https://levergear.com/

Designing Daily Series – Day 2 – Aircall

This brand is a business call center solution. They have created a streamlined, easy to use interface. Since I’ve been doing temporary receptionist roles for the past few months, this sparked an interest for me as I can see the day to day value this could bring, especially since they integrate with other software.  I decided to design an advertisement that shows how Aircall can provide value to other business while highlighting an asset that businesses can never have enough of, time. Note: I do not own the Aircall logo in the image, it is copied from Aircall’s website: aircall.io

Designing Daily Series – Day 1 – Walkthrough

I’m going to try and make a design every day this month. I am unsure where I want to take this for right now but I think most of the days will be oriented around designing something for one of the Praxis business partners. With, perhaps, a personal design once in a while to showcase my personality in design.  So today I’m going to pick up where I left off with one of my marketing videos. I had done a marketing and design analysis on Walkthrough (getawalkthrough.com). Now I want to share that here and how I expanded both their brand and my rebrand idea as proposed in the video…

    Senses and Memories

I was thinking today, as I poked my head out the door to my parent’s backyard to the campfire they made, how many experiences the smell, and sound reminded me of. From summer camp to family gatherings, to late nights with friends. We often let smells, and sounds take a back seat in our memories.  Often they’re not memorable or even noticeable in some cases, but I think there’s some worth thinking about. As a Minnesotan, I understand the thought behind smelling, rain and snow and hearing rain, it’s a comfort you end up remembering times when you were a kid playing in the snow, or when you heard rain…

    Philosophy Module Week 4

I just finished the last of the content for the philosophy module in Praxis. We had two blocks of content this week, a short video series called “Everything is a Remix”, and an essay series called “Software is Eating the World” I enjoyed the first more, but it helped that it was far more condensed and visual. I appreciated learning about what society can do with technology and learning from each other. I’ve put together my last analysis video and it is listed below. This week I was also challenged by my advisor to create an advice video for future Praxians and learners of philosophy in general (linked below as well).…
