Battle of the (Fastfood) Chicken
I really enjoy chicken of most all kinds, like a lot, so over time I’ve tried to do some comparing of different options. I put together a list of my thoughts on which places get it right.
Chick-fil-A. Great service matched with great chicken, not to mention great fries, and the stellar Chick-fil-A sauce. The sauce has no contest to me, though I will say it one of a couple memorable sandwiches, though it always seems just a tad spendy, but you get what you pay for, plus curbside pickup for the win, that said my local one makes you go through the drive through instead and I admittedly avoid that location for that reason at this point, I’ve seen mobile through a at some locations but I admittedly haven’t tried that as I’d personally still rather do curbside at this time.
Canes, I would argue it’s a bit of a slightly overhyped one-hit wonder but it’s still good. I wish the toast was an add-on and the meal was cheaper instead. It’s tied with CFA for the actual chicken tenders, but since that’s basically THE option it’s not a huge draw for me.
Popeyes is my super local and cheap option, it’s good and they even have other kinds of cuts of chicken, plus yummy and uniquely seasoned fries. It’s cheap, especially with a coupon, that said if it was next to Chick-fil-A and the same price as CFA, I’d pick CFA admittedly.
Dairy Queen, yummy but I’m usually really there for my blizzard dessert, but it’s good prices I believed, again not my favorite.
KFC, can’t leave it off, this is a once in a long while for me just because it’s usually pretty darn tasty but goodness was it greasy last time I had it, just appreciate that they have the mashed potato side option too. It’s pretty reasonable pricing I believe but they don’t seem to have too many locations anymore.
Top pick: Chick-fil-A. Bet you didn’t see that coming, the app is easy to use, they have good food across the board, and reasonable pricing. Plus it’s everywhere now.
Enjoy.
