Shout Out to Long Distance Friends

Hey friend, if we live a ways apart this one’s for you.

I have friends in at least 4 different states, that’s not a brag, it’s simply an acknowledgment and a chance to say I’m thankful for each of them. It’s been fun to visit people across the country lately. It makes me truly love even the simplest of trips. I love staying with friends in their homes, and doing normal life, and fun things around their home with them, even the grocery store in some cases to enjoy food together at home.

It’s fun to message long distance friends, they’re one of the notable reasons I am so thankful for social media. Even if those sites aren’t perfect I get more peeks into their lives, and they get more peeks into mine.

Long distance friends encourage you to be more adventurous, I love visiting a friend and trusting their opinions with what we should do. I get to see something fun from their area that they thought we’d enjoy together, what a gift. Plus I get to do research and bring a tourists perspective and potentially surprise them with a new perspective on a place.

As I think about moving I hope to be on the other end of this very soon, I pray God will provide me with a home that I can share, and that he will provide my friends with the resources to visit. I also hope that I can quickly learn about new places and make new friends wherever I go to live.
