Comedy Is for So Many Contexts

Blog about how everything can be comedy from politics to sports, to hobbies, and everything in between. It might seem obvious, but I think when you start to see the humor in more areas of life, you start to let your guard down for the better.

Comedy is so fun, I love thinking of puns and I think this is the best example of how many contexts it can present itself in. You can make a pun anywhere, and even if people groan, its a great icebreaker.

Lately the good comedians I’ve seen on YouTube and such, not only make tons of puns, they make fun of something they’ve seen in a light-hearted way. They embarass themselves in the meantime and that’s such a big part of it, the good comedians make fun of themselves, more than the people they’re are imitating or talking about.

Comedy isn’t about being careful, you still should be respectful to a certain extent, but comedy is about a human connection, knowing we all see something as being slightly odd, and/or funny. It’s about finding the joy and humor in the everyday.
