Final Thoughts

What a whirlwind year, from spending the first part of the year at a contract role to joining Praxis, and taking trips for weddings, going to camp, enjoying holidays with family, and spending time with friends, to even being a political delegate.

The new year is just that but January 1st is also just another day. What I mean by that is that it doesn’t have to be a threshold for everything from certain choices, to decisions, to changing habits, though I’ll admit sometimes it is helpful. I try to see it as both, it’s a helpful mental guide but it’s also just a day on the calendar, to some respect.

2018 was a good year for my creativity. I’ve created countless projects, started writing daily on this blog, developed my YouTube channel. This has been the year I’ve realized how creative I can be, I’ve shared ideas with other on politics, faith, and philosophy, among other things.

I also worked a lot of temp jobs and I’ve made it to 20 different roles. I’m happy with how I’ve been able to balance the different workplaces.

I’ve been able to drive to camp, the North Shore of Minnesota (twice!), a friend’s wedding, her new home, countless swing dances, and even a concert with a different friend. Even if I didn’t really go on a vacation this year, it’s been a year of adventures and seeing things in a new way.

The year end can be used as a way to cap off a certain time in your life, and to acknowledge a beginning, and that’s a good idea if it helps you, just make sure you don’t rule out things or think that turning the pages of a calendar automatically means certain things will or will not happen, or that you’ll be able to achieve something automatically, that kind of stuff takes a whole lot of will power, and Jesus.

I am beyond excited for what 2019 is gonna bring, and how God’s gonna work through me to do it all.

So here’s to 2019. God’s still in control and on his throne. All the glory be to Him.
